Surah Nuh English Translation

We surely sent Noah to his people, saying: “Warn your people before a painful punishment comes upon them.”
He said: “O my people! I am a clear warner to you,
That you should worship Allah, remain mindful of Him, and obey me.
He will forgive you your sins and grant you relief for a set term. But when Allah’s fixed time arrives, it cannot be delayed — if only you knew.”
Noah said: “My Lord, I called my people night and day,
But my calling only made them run farther away.
Every time I invited them so You might forgive them, they covered their ears, wrapped themselves in their clothes, persisted in denial, and became more arrogant.
Then I called them openly.
Then I spoke to them both publicly and privately.
And I said: ‘Seek forgiveness from your Lord, surely He is ever forgiving.
He will send down rain upon you in abundance,
And provide you with wealth and children, and grant you gardens and flowing rivers.
What is wrong with you that you do not respect the greatness of Allah,
When He has created you in stages?
Do you not see how Allah created the seven heavens, one above the other,
And placed the moon within them as a light, and the sun as a shining lamp?
Allah has made you grow from the earth like plants,
Then He will return you to it, and bring you out again.
And Allah has spread the earth wide for you,
So that you may walk through its open paths.’”
Noah said: “My Lord, they have disobeyed me, and followed those whose wealth and children only increase them in loss.
They have plotted great schemes,
And they said: ‘Never abandon your gods. Never leave Wadd, Suwaʿ, Yaghuth, Yaʿuq, or Nasr.’
Indeed, they have led many astray. So, my Lord, do not increase the wrongdoers in anything except straying.”
Because of their sins, they were drowned and then made to enter the Fire. They found no helpers against Allah.
And Noah said: “My Lord, do not leave on the earth any home of the disbelievers.
For if You leave them, they will mislead Your servants, and will only give birth to wicked sinners and stubborn disbelievers.
My Lord, forgive me, my parents, whoever enters my house in faith, and all believing men and women. But do not increase the wrongdoers in anything except destruction.”

Surah Nooh Urdu Translation

بے شک ہم نے نوحؑ کو اُن کی قوم کی طرف بھیجا، کہ اپنی قوم کو خبردار کرو اس سے پہلے کہ اُن پر دردناک عذاب آجائے۔
نوحؑ نے کہا: اے میری قوم! میں تمہارے لیے کھلا ہوا ڈرانے والا ہوں،
کہ تم صرف اللہ کی عبادت کرو، اُس کا تقویٰ اختیار کرو اور میری اطاعت کرو۔
وہ تمہارے گناہ معاف کر دے گا اور تمہیں ایک مقررہ وقت تک زندگی کا موقع دے گا۔ لیکن جب اللہ کا وقت آجائے گا تو پھر مؤخر نہیں ہو سکتا، کاش تم جان لو۔
نوحؑ نے کہا: اے میرے رب! میں نے اپنی قوم کو دن رات بلایا،
مگر میری دعوت نے ان کو اور زیادہ دور ہی کر دیا۔
اور جب بھی میں نے انہیں بلایا تاکہ تُو انہیں معاف کر دے، وہ اپنے کانوں میں انگلیاں دے لیتے، کپڑوں میں منہ چھپا لیتے، ضد پر اَڑ جاتے اور بہت تکبر کرتے۔
پھر میں نے انہیں کھلے عام دعوت دی۔
پھر میں نے ان سے علانیہ بھی کہا اور چھپ کر بھی سمجھایا۔
اور میں نے کہا: اپنے رب سے مغفرت مانگو، بے شک وہ بڑا ہی بخشنے والا ہے۔
وہ تم پر آسمان سے خوب بارش برسائے گا،
اور تمہیں مال و اولاد عطا کرے گا، تمہارے لیے باغات پیدا کرے گا اور تمہارے لیے نہریں جاری کرے گا۔
تمہیں کیا ہوگیا ہے کہ تم اللہ کی عظمت کا خیال نہیں کرتے؟
حالانکہ اس نے تمہیں مختلف مراحل سے پیدا کیا۔
کیا تم نہیں دیکھتے کہ اللہ نے سات آسمان ایک دوسرے کے اوپر بنائے،
اور ان میں چاند کو روشنی بنایا، اور سورج کو چراغ کی طرح روشن بنایا؟
اور اللہ نے تمہیں زمین سے اگایا جیسے پودے اگتے ہیں،
پھر وہ تمہیں زمین میں واپس لے جائے گا اور دوبارہ نکال کھڑا کرے گا۔
اور اللہ نے زمین کو تمہارے لیے بچھونا بنایا،
تاکہ تم اس کے کھلے راستوں میں چل پھر سکو۔
نوحؑ نے کہا: اے میرے رب! انہوں نے میری بات نہیں مانی، اور ایسے لوگوں کے پیچھے چلے جن کا مال اور اولاد ان کے لیے اور زیادہ نقصان کا سبب بنی۔
اور انہوں نے بڑے بڑے فریب کے منصوبے بنائے۔
اور کہا: اپنے معبودوں کو کبھی نہ چھوڑنا، نہ وَدّ کو، نہ سُواع کو، نہ یغوث کو، نہ یعوق کو اور نہ نسر کو۔
انہوں نے بہت سے لوگوں کو گمراہ کر دیا، اور اے میرے رب! تو ظالموں کو اور زیادہ گمراہی ہی میں بڑھا۔
آخرکار اپنے گناہوں کے باعث وہ غرق کر دیے گئے، پھر جہنم میں داخل کر دیے گئے۔ اور وہ اللہ کے مقابلے میں کوئی مددگار نہ پاسکے۔
اور نوحؑ نے کہا: اے میرے رب! زمین پر کسی کافر کو زندہ نہ چھوڑ۔
اگر تو نے انہیں چھوڑ دیا تو یہ تیرے بندوں کو گمراہ کریں گے اور ان کی اولاد بھی بس بدکار اور کافر ہی ہوگی۔
اے میرے رب! مجھے بخش دے، میرے والدین کو بھی، جو بھی ایمان کی حالت میں میرے گھر میں آئے، اور سب مومن مردوں اور عورتوں کو۔ اور ظالموں کو تو ہلاکت کے سوا کچھ نہ دے۔

Surah Nooh Hindi Translation

हमने नूह (अलैहिस्सलाम) को उनकी क़ौम की तरफ़ भेजा कि अपनी क़ौम को चेतावनी दो, इससे पहले कि उन पर दर्दनाक सज़ा आ जाए।
नूह ने कहा: ऐ मेरी क़ौम! मैं तुम्हारे लिए खुला हुआ चेतावनी देने वाला हूँ।
कि तुम सिर्फ़ अल्लाह की इबादत करो, उसका डर रखो और मेरी बात मानो।
वह तुम्हारे गुनाह माफ़ कर देगा और तुम्हें एक तय समय तक ज़िन्दगी देगा। लेकिन जब अल्लाह का वक़्त आ जाएगा, तो उसे टाला नहीं जा सकता, काश तुम जानते।
नूह ने कहा: ऐ मेरे रब! मैंने अपनी क़ौम को रात-दिन बुलाया,
लेकिन मेरी पुकार ने उन्हें और ज़्यादा भागने पर मजबूर कर दिया।
और जब भी मैंने उन्हें बुलाया ताकि तू उन्हें माफ़ कर दे, तो उन्होंने अपने कानों में ऊँगली डाल ली, कपड़ों से मुँह ढक लिया, ज़िद पर डटे रहे और घमंड में और बढ़ गए।
फिर मैंने उन्हें खुले तौर पर बुलाया।
फिर मैंने उनसे ज़ोर से भी कहा और चुपचाप भी समझाया।
और मैंने कहा: अपने रब से माफ़ी माँगो, निश्चय ही वह बड़ा माफ़ करने वाला है।
वह तुम पर आसमान से खूब बारिश बरसाएगा,
और तुम्हें माल और औलाद देगा, तुम्हारे लिए बाग़ लगाएगा और नहरें बहाएगा।
तुम्हें क्या हो गया है कि तुम अल्लाह की महानता का एहसास नहीं करते?
हालाँकि उसने तुम्हें अलग-अलग चरणों से पैदा किया।
क्या तुमने नहीं देखा कि अल्लाह ने सात आसमान एक-दूसरे पर बनाए,
और उनमें चाँद को रौशनी बनाया, और सूरज को चमकता हुआ दिया।
और अल्लाह ने तुम्हें ज़मीन से पौधों की तरह उगाया,
फिर वह तुम्हें उसी ज़मीन में लौटाएगा और दोबारा निकाल खड़ा करेगा।
और अल्लाह ने ज़मीन को तुम्हारे लिए फैला दिया,
ताकि तुम उसके खुले रास्तों में चल सको।
नूह ने कहा: ऐ मेरे रब! उन्होंने मेरी बात नहीं मानी और ऐसे लोगों का पीछा किया जिनका माल और औलाद उन्हें और ज़्यादा नुक़सान में डाल रहा है।
और उन्होंने बड़े-बड़े चालाकी के प्लान बनाए।
और कहा: अपने देवी-देवताओं को मत छोड़ना, न वद्द को, न सुवा को, न यग़ूस को, न यऊक को और न नसर को।
उन्होंने बहुत लोगों को गुमराह कर दिया, और ऐ मेरे रब! तू ज़ालिमों को और ज़्यादा गुमराही में बढ़ा।
आखिरकार अपने गुनाहों की वजह से वे डूबा दिए गए, फिर आग में दाखिल कर दिए गए। और उन्हें अल्लाह के सामने कोई मददगार नहीं मिला।
और नूह ने कहा: ऐ मेरे रब! धरती पर किसी काफ़िर को जीवित न छोड़।
अगर तू उन्हें छोड़ देगा तो ये तेरे बन्दों को गुमराह करेंगे, और उनकी औलाद भी बस बदकार और काफ़िर ही होगी।
ऐ मेरे रब! मुझे माफ़ कर, मेरे माँ-बाप को भी, हर उस शख़्स को जो ईमान की हालत में मेरे घर में दाखिल हो, और तमाम मोमिन मर्दों और औरतों को। और ज़ालिमों को तू बर्बादी के अलावा कुछ न दे।
