Durood e Roohi English Translation – Darood Graveyard
- Peace be upon you, O people resting in the graves,
believers and Muslims among them.
By Allah’s will, we too shall one day join you.
We ask Allah to grant peace and safety to both you and us. - O Allah! Forgive all of us —
those who are alive and those who have passed away,
those who are present and those far away,
our young and our old,
our men and our women. - O Allah! Keep those of us who are alive firm upon Islam,
and when You take our souls, let us die with true faith. - O Allah! Turn their graves into gardens from the gardens of Paradise,
and protect them from becoming pits of the Fire. - O Allah! Brighten their graves with Your light,
make their resting places wide and comfortable,
remove their fear and loneliness,
grant us the blessing of visiting them,
and unite us with them again in the eternal gardens of joy. - O Allah! Send Your peace and blessings upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ
and upon his noble family —
just as You blessed Prophet Ibrahim and his family.
Truly, You are Most Praiseworthy and Most Glorious.
Darood e Qabristan Urdu Translation
- اے قبروں میں آرام کرنے والو! تم پر سلامتی ہو،
تم جو ایمان والوں اور مسلمانوں میں سے ہو۔
اللہ چاہے تو ہم بھی ایک دن تمہارے پاس آ ملیں گے۔
ہم اللہ سے تمہارے اور اپنے لیے عافیت اور سلامتی کی دعا کرتے ہیں۔ - اے اللہ! ہمارے زندوں اور مرنے والوں کو بخش دے،
ہم میں سے جو موجود ہیں اور جو غیر حاضر ہیں،
ہمارے چھوٹوں اور بڑوں کو،
ہمارے مردوں اور عورتوں کو۔ - اے اللہ! جسے تو نے ہم میں سے زندہ رکھا ہے، اسے اسلام پر قائم رکھ،
اور جسے تو نے ہم میں سے وفات دی ہے، اسے ایمان پر وفات دے۔ - اے اللہ! ان کی قبروں کو جنت کے باغوں میں سے ایک باغ بنا دے،
اور انہیں جہنم کے گڑھوں میں سے کوئی گڑھا نہ بنا۔ - اے اللہ! ان کی قبروں کو نور سے منور فرما،
ان کی جگہ کو کشادہ کر دے،
ان کے دلوں سے وحشت اور تنہائی دور فرما،
ہمیں ان کی زیارت کی سعادت عطا فرما،
اور ہمیں ان کے ساتھ جنت کے باغوں میں جمع فرما۔ - اے اللہ! ہمارے سردار حضرت محمد ﷺ پر درود و سلام بھیج،
اور ان کے اہلِ بیت پر بھی،
جس طرح تو نے حضرت ابراہیمؑ اور ان کے اہلِ بیت پر درود و رحمت بھیجی۔
بے شک تو حمد کے لائق، بزرگی والا ہے۔
Darood Qabristan Hindi Translation
- हे कब्रों में आराम करने वालों! तुम पर शांति हो,
तुम जो ईमान वालों और मुसलमानों में से हो।
अगर अल्लाह ने चाहा, तो हम भी एक दिन तुम्हारे पास पहुँचेंगे।
हम अल्लाह से तुम्हारे और अपने लिए भलाई और सलामती की दुआ करते हैं। - हे अल्लाह! हमारे ज़िंदा और हमारे गुज़र चुके लोगों को माफ़ कर दे,
हम में से जो हाज़िर हैं और जो ग़ायब हैं,
हमारे छोटे-बड़े सबको,
हमारे मर्दों और औरतों को। - हे अल्लाह! जिसे तूने हमारे बीच ज़िंदा रखा है, उसे इस्लाम पर क़ायम रख,
और जिसे तूने हमारे बीच से उठा लिया है, उसे ईमान पर मौत दे। - हे अल्लाह! उनकी कब्रों को जन्नत के बाग़ों में से एक बाग़ बना दे,
और उन्हें जहन्नम के गड्ढों में से कोई गड्ढा न बना। - हे अल्लाह! उनकी कब्रों को अपने नूर से रौशन कर दे,
उनकी जगह को चौड़ी और आरामदेह बना,
उनकी तनहाई और डर को दूर कर,
हमें उनकी ज़ियारत (मुलाक़ात) की तौफ़ीक़ दे,
और हमें उनके साथ जन्नत के बाग़ों में मिला दे। - हे अल्लाह! हमारे सरदार हज़रत मुहम्मद ﷺ पर रहमतें और सलाम भेज,
और उनके परिवार वालों पर भी,
जैसे तूने हज़रत इब्राहीम (अलैहिस्सलाम) और उनके परिवार वालों पर रहमतें भेजीं।
निश्चय ही तू प्रशंसा के योग्य, महान और महिमा वाला है।
Darood e Qabristan Benefits Wazaif / Dua for a purpose:

| Read when entering a graveyard — Stand facing the graves and greet with Assalamu ‘alaykum ya ahlad-diyār… | The Prophet ﷺ said: “Visit the graves, for they remind you of the Hereafter.” (Muslim 976) — It brings humility and remembrance of death. |
| Recite Darood-e-Qabristan with sincere heart and make dua for the deceased | Allah forgives sins of the reciter and the deceased, and grants mercy upon both. |
| Recite once a week (especially on Friday or Thursday evening) | The souls of the deceased receive peace, and Allah sends reward (sawab) to them through your recitation. |
| Include Salawat (Darood Shareef) at the end: “Allahumma salli ‘ala Sayyidina Muhammad…” | Every Darood brings ten blessings from Allah, ten sins are forgiven, and ten ranks are raised (Hadith: Tirmidhi). |
| After Fajr or Maghrib, sit quietly and read this dua if you can’t visit the graveyard physically | Allah still conveys the peace and reward to those in the graves through the angels. |
| Recite Surah Al-Fatiha (1x) + Darood-e-Qabristan (1x) + Darood Sharif (3x) | Brings immense mercy to the deceased and peace to the heart of the reciter. |
